Happy Birthday from the SAM Instrument on Mars Curiosity by NASA
On August 5, 2012, the Mars Curiosity rover touched down on the Red Planet. Aboard was the Sample Analysis at Mars instrument, or SAM, the most sophisticated chemistry lab ever sent to another planet.
