The two stars are officially part of the MCU again
Spider-Man is returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Sony and Marvel worked out a deal to collaborate on a third Spider-Man movie. No one is happier about this fact than Tom Holland himself, though his way of expressing that joy is through Instagram video.
When the “break up,” so to speak, was first announced and the future of Spider-Man’s hung in the air, Holland didn’t officially comment. He did, however, subtly weigh in on the corporate kerfuffle while promoting his new movie Onward.
“It’s been a crazy week,” he said at Pixar’s D23 presentation, “but I want to let you know I’m grateful from the bottom of my heart. I love you 3,000.”
But now that Spider-Man has secured a place back in the MCU, Holland posted a clip from The Wolf of Wall Street on Instagram. Mind you, it’s a shaky recording of what is most definitely a YouTube rip, but it gets the point across.
“You know what,” says Leo DiCaprio’s character Jordan Belfort, “I’m not leaving. I’M NOT FUCKING LEAVING.”
Meanwhile, Holland’s co-star Zendaya weighed in on Twitter with a bit of celebration of her own: a little GIF of a dancing Spider-Man.
