DNA Sequencing by NASA
Episode 50 features Dr. Sarah Wallace as she shares with us her instrumental role in developing the DNA sequencing machines used on the ISS as part of a multi-center effort led here at the Johnson Space Center. DNA sequencing can be used for things in space from monitoring the crew members’ health to identifying microbes, and potentially detecting life in the solar system.
